Irish Independent:The 38-year-old McGregor plays Camerlengo Patrick McKenna, an ultra-zealous Irish papal deputy determined to defend the Church from malign forces.
My favorite Scottish actor Ewan MacGregor is back for the sequel to The Da Vinci Code.I am looking forward to this movie. My friends have seen it and they said Ewan’s character in Angels and Demons is great and his performance is simply superb. It was Trainspotting that caught my attention. Yes yes yes he CAN sing as evident in Maulin Rouge.
Im a great fan of Ewan….watched the movie (Angels & Demons) already because of Ewan…missed him somehow in the big screen…..he’s really amazing….I wish that he had more scenes with Tom Hanks…could have been great…love the part where he broke into the conclave and made his speech…..awesome!!!! A++ rate for that!!! Hats off to you Ewan!….

Ewan McGregor is such an excellent actor, and his portrayal of the Camerlengo Patrick McKenna in Angels and Demons was understated yet superb. I enjoyed the film, but McGregor was the best thing about it! Reminded me why he’s one of my favorite actors.

Thanks for your comment Cherelune.I think he is the only one who could pull it off and emerge with greatness.Remember this scene when his character faces Robert Langdon and asks him”Do you believe in God?”There’s something dead serious and poignant in his expression that just breaks your heart.
