From Karl Nesbitt site:

Karl’s debut album “Vista Point” which has been 4 years in the making, will be released this August ’09. It features new compositions from Karl, Marien Collins, Edel McLaughlin, Seamus Gibson and more, as well as songs by John Spillane and Niall Connolly. At the core of the album is a stunning 5 piece band. Stay tuned for availability details from Claddagh Records and iTunes.

I bumped into Karl Nesbitt‘s You Tube site by accident. I was trying to browse through videos about Bodhran playing. This young man has attained such an achievement and plays a variety of instruments. Yes he is the brother of Mairead Nesbitt of Celtic Woman. More info from Wiki , CD Baby and his official website. This video shows Karl playing the Irish bouzouki.

Read from someone who heard the whole album through Claddagh Records.

Weekend Feature Coming Up!

Hello friends! I am featuring Jenny Mulvey tomorrow. She is an Irish singer and she will tell us more about the scene and how she maintains that beautiful voice. Thanks to those who posted comments on my article about French musician Loic Rathscheck. He wants to extend his appreciation and you know who you are! I am glad the way my site is turning out and how exclusively musical this is.

The Bodhran is known as the heart of Celtic music. For what is Celtic music without it? There is something about its geometry that is aesthetically pleasing. And the way it is played is like no other. Here are some good links on how one learns to play the Bodhran. These are guides to walk you through.
