Although the Oud has been commonly used in Middle-Eastern countries, its inclusion to Western music has been predominant lately. I am going to showcase instrument used in Loreena McKennitt’s recordings as well as other Celtic musicians who decided to have a cross-over appeal. I am including it here because it is simply beautiful, and the sound it makes is haunting.
