Holding on to Peace with Planxty

How do you fight fire? Do you fight it with another fire? There are times when we are put in a hateful situation and we forget who we are. The situation bares our animal instinct. We are not free from the wear and tear of everyday life. There are times when the internal struggles we have are worse than what’s happening outside.

My take on this? Always take time for your self. Find that personal space. Being with the same people for so long can have its downside. As they say ,familiarity breeds contempt. So always be on the lookout. So how do you fight hate? I fight it with peaceful music. Here’s Planxty with Sweet Thames Flow Softly taken from their 1973 self-titled album also known as The Black Album. I hope that to those who are having a bad day, this song will give you a source of inspiration to go on living.Don’t forget to smile.

Jim Hargrove’s Celtic flavoured Song.

Occasionally,I come across people who are talented which makes me want to write about them. I guess this is how being a ‘vessel’ means. To be a conduit of greater souls so that discovery happens.

Ok  let’s hear Jim Hargrove’s Celtic flavored song called Blow, Sweet Spirit (featuring Deanna Loveland). The track has that toe tapping quality. A Traditional jig type of song featuring the angelic vocals of Deanna Loveland who also plays the harp. Her voice is pure and souring . angel22The intro has that bodhran beat, followed by Jim’s pipe playing and some fiddle in the background. So Sunday folks. If you are looking for something soul stirring but also want it to be unique, then this song is for you.

You can hear the song in his shoutlife site.

Guessing game:An old Clannad picture(1982)

Guess who’s that in checkered dress?

Reflections

I made this blog about a year ago because at that time I wanted to do something different. I have other blogs but I want to have something I want to be excited about. This one provided me an opportunity to do research, interact with people with the same set of interests. Through this I am able to set up goals. And that would be to make sure I write things with enough substance.

My depression led me back here. If you look at my timeline you’d notice that there were months this site was never updated. I wanted to devote my soul to something .I guess it is human nature to be devoted to something. To give our time and love on something we think is worthy. That’s why we want people around us to share that love.

Sometimes that very love can hurt us. Makes us doubt ourselves. That doubt leads us into that darkest part of our souls. I see this happening to people who are unhappy and not contented for too long. That is why we have to find something that drives our passion. We have to find something to devote our selves to. We have to live for other so that we will continue on living

Celtic Recipes? Anybody?

As luck would have it, I found this wonderful site dealing with Celtic recipes. I though it’s interesting to share it.And while at it I would suggest my favorite song while  mixing ingredients .It’s…………………The Mummer’s Dance by Loreena McKennitt 😉

OK I am soooo off to bed!
